Eco Barn Access Statement
Coot Holiday Cottage offers the same standards of luxury 5 star accomodation as Avocoet and Garden House, but is designed to be slighly smaller in scale for couples, grandparents or a couple with a baby in a travel cot . All our cottages have achieved the Visit England Gold Award for exceptional quality of accommodation in 2011/12 The stunning new holiday barns and cottages at Home Farm have been designed to offer eco friendly accommodation but not at the expense of luxury and comfort.
Coot is our most compact accommodation offering a comfortable retreat for couples with a baby, grandparents or nanny. (Maybe unsuitable for very active toddlers who may benefit from more activity space available in the 2 bedroom properties owl Wagtail & Tern).
Coot Cottage provides an ideal base for birdwatching and for cycling and walking on the quiet back roads between Home Farm Cranmer and the coast at Holkham.
The new holiday barns at Home Farm have been designed with attention to sustainable eco credentials maximising alternative energy sources. eco friendly under floor heating features throughout and hot water and space heating are supplemented by solar, wind power and an in ground heat source pump. The buildings themselves are highly insulated keeping them warm and at the same time cutting down on carbon emissions.
Please note this cottage is part of the new Eco Barns and has very beautiful solid travertine floors with rugs similar to properties on the continent. Therefore active toddlers may require careful supervision. If booking Coot Avocet or Garden House guests accept any risks involved.
